Kirk Hanson
Story Designer / Art Director
My strengths are my draftsmanship, my design sense (both graphically and cinematically) and my writing. I enjoy coming up with all kinds of creative solutions to knotty problems (especially in a pinch), helping out beleaguered producers and directors in the process.
I started in 1985 at Hanna-Barbera Productions before going on to Walt Disney Imagineering, then finally to Walt Disney Feature Animation, starting on Aladdin.
After an eleven-year stint at Disney Features as well as some time spent at Pixar, I moved on to the Walt Disney Television Direct-to-Video division (later to become Disney Toon Studios) for a while, then on to Universal for the Curious George theatrical feature.
I’ve worked on various other projects since then, most notably at DreamWorks and Vanguard, my latest being Warner Bros.’ Tom and Jerry: Ginormous along with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Never Land Pirates for Disney Junior.
